Hike with us through a grove of tree bamboo to the top of a 50-foot cliff, where we rappel down, beginning with an easy entrance that soon becomes nearly vertical. After your first successful rappel, hike back up a steep ridge, using ropes tied between trees for assistance. Then do another 50-foot rappel. Afterward hike down through a bamboo forest to a 60-foot cliff. This time hook up for a guided rappel along a 150-foot rope tied between big trees. For an exciting ride from above the tops of the big trees, float down through the canopy to the canyon floor below.
After all this excitement, hike down the serene valley to a series of waterfalls and pools. Take a water slide into the first pool, an optional jump off a 6-foot cliff into another pool, and a climb down a 15-foot cliff while you hang onto the roots of a large banyan tree to the bottom of a 20-foot waterfall and a swim above a 30-foot waterfall.
Lunch is served at one of the pools and waterfalls. The final hike back is along a good trail with some impressive views into the valley and out to sea from a thousand feet in elevation. The total hiking distance is about a mile with 700 feet of elevation change.

Observers who do not want to rappel, are welcome to accompany the group, and they may participate fully in the tour, except for the rappelling.

Requirements and Limitations: minimum age 10. Minors (17 & under) must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Our harnesses will fit waist sizes from 22 to 54 inches. Please do not sign up if our equipment will not fit you. You must sign a stringent participation agreement.

Tour includes transportation to the site from the Kahului Park & Ride on Hwy. 380 near Hwy 350, lunch, bottled water, insect repellent and complete outfitting, including back packs, dry keg, harness, helmet, soft-shell jacket during cold season, special-traction water shoes.
